Right page of the comedy and animated poster section.

Left page of the action and adventure drama genre of the book.
This is the right page of the action adventure genre posters.
This is like the back page of the book. This is a little about me and where I go to school and what I like to do. It is not much but it is enough for the people reading to go "okay, I have heard enough of this guy". Thanks for reading for those of you that have. Thanks for the class Dennis. I really learned a lot.

Visual Research - Trippy

This is a photo by Erik Johansson and he trips up our world by placing one person above the other while in bed. The ceiling is the floor and the two people are looking up at down at one another basically in other worlds. I don't quite know how he did this but I am guessing that he took these two photos at a different angle and then photoshopped them together. Or in a more impressive he had two twins and with some technical aspects converted the room into a paradox. Once again I really do not know how he did it but I love this picture. It is creative and Johansson has other like it to make you think about what you are looking at. Creativity and innovation are definitely on his list for making new and awesome photos. We have seen stuff like this that messes with the mind and is a paradox with drawings and paintings and recently there have been more photos like this by other photographers, artists and even filmmakers. Great artwork.

Past and Present - Visual Research

I found these on the CNN website looking for any good visual research and I found this page that had many photos of someone holding up a past picture over a present day monument and then capturing that in a photo. These are just a few examples of what they showed. As you can see it is really amazing how they got this pictures. There are many people how take the actual photo so there is not just one photographer taking all of these pictures.

If you go to this website:
http://www.cnn.com/2010/LIVING/04/09/past.present.irpt/index.html you can read up on how each story happened with each person. This one was taken by Amy Willard who found this photo of her recently deceased mother on the steps of Catholic University of America which she went graduated from in 1972 and then Amy graduated from in 2009.

This photo was taken by Edward Barnieh and the photo is of his mother who is pregnant with him in a park in London that he loved to play in as a little boy. The photo was taken in 1978.

GeoWorld - Text and Script

Did this in class after a magazine's index which was from "GeoWorld". I think I did a pretty good job representing what was actually done in the real magazine.

Silhouettes and shadows - Visual Research

These are photos taken by Kumi Yamashita. She got these photos by putting a strong bright light in a designated position either above the object(s) or to the side and thus casts a massive shadow that creates a brilliant looking image and silhouette. I find these photos particularly enjoyable to look at because it just seems unbelievable with the detail in the facial expressions especially the letters and the lady. These are fun photos, creative and would be rewarding to do and have when accomplished. Kumi has her own website where she puts up all of her past and recent work. I believe that it is just her name with the dot com. I highly recommend to check out her artistic work that she has done. Very inspirational.

Star Wars Posters - Visual Research

The Family Guy Episode "Blue Harvest" aired in 2006.

This of course is the original poster to the Star Wars. Below is the Family Guy mock poster for their Star Wars Episode. The saying goes "mimicry is the sincerest form of flattery". The original poster uses the the background and foreground really well to show all of the characters and who has the most power. Darth Vader all the way in the background above everyone else which is conveying strength, power, and his dark helmet being black and shadow like represents evil and the dark side. I don't think I have to explain the movie because, well, everyone has seen it and knows of it but the poster itself tells the story. It has many points of where to look and where the eyes drift to. Manly Luke, Leia, and Han because they are at the center of the poster but then the shots from the gun lead us to the other secondary characters like Obi Wan, C3PO, R2D2, and Chewbaca.

Once again the similarities with the two posters are superb. I think Family Guy did a good job recreating the feeling that many of us feel when we see the Star Wars Posters.
