Silhouettes and shadows - Visual Research
These are photos taken by Kumi Yamashita. She got these photos by putting a strong bright light in a designated position either above the object(s) or to the side and thus casts a massive shadow that creates a brilliant looking image and silhouette. I find these photos particularly enjoyable to look at because it just seems unbelievable with the detail in the facial expressions especially the letters and the lady. These are fun photos, creative and would be rewarding to do and have when accomplished. Kumi has her own website where she puts up all of her past and recent work. I believe that it is just her name with the dot com. I highly recommend to check out her artistic work that she has done. Very inspirational.
