Trailer Posters

I honestly really love this poster even if does look more like a book cover than a movie poster. I think that what would have made it a little bit better is if it had the production staff and editors, actors and everyone that is apart of it at the bottom. Other than that I really like it. I am actually doing a little movie of the same title and would probably use this as a poster. Possibly even make another Spilt Milk poster in the future.

Pirates vs. Aliens (UFOs), who could not want a more bad ass movie. Its freaking Jack Sparrow and the Alien from Alien, or Mars Attacks!. I do like my pun at the bottom of the poster too. If it is not clear enough it says "Invade and Sea". Pretty clever on my part. Anyways I hope someone makes a movie like this I would definitely see it no matter how bad it is.

Frogbot - Second Scratch

This is my second photoshop scratch creation. I used solid green colors unlike the Red Wolf that uses multiple colors. I just colored in the squares in different shades of green and then put white eyes and black pupils and a blue tie. I think I enjoy the Red Wolf better but this is not a bad creation on my part.

Leaf Art Alone - Visual Research

Leaves in my opinion are really beautiful by themselves but Huang Taisheng takes the yellow, green, red, brown beauties and puts a interesting and new twist on nature. With extreme detail this master takes historical figures like Marilyn Monroe and the iconic Statue of Liberty and puts them delicately on leaves that he has found just lying on the ground waiting to be noticed. He does draw other things on leaves like political leaders, Chinese calligraphy, and portraits of people that he finds are cool to draw. People can actually purchase his creations and put them anywhere as art because if this is not art I really do not know what is. This artist has got to have the steady hand and patience to do something as memorable as putting art on a leaf. He is not only connecting with his own specialties but also the specialties that is nature. Very, very cool.

A Child's Vision - Visual Research

This creative artwork comes from Artist Dave Devries. What he does with his work is take a child's drawings they have done for class at a young age and puts a creative and 3D look to their own masterpiece to make it a tad bit more better. He adds color, texture and shading for the three dimensional look of the artwork. The idea came to him when a student from a class that Devries was teaching asked him "what would a child's drawing look like if it were painted realistically?" He literally took that question and idea and ran with it as far as he possibly could. The creation of these drawings is absolutely amazing and sort of what we can do with Photoshop as well. Take a photo and alter it to look the same yet different in so many other ways. Devries also worked for the two big comic book companies Marvel and DC. So he has quite a lot of talent and I recommend that everyone look this guy up and see the other drawings and paintings he has done.

Chalk Art - Visual Research

A boat in a puddle of water. Is it real?

Totally agony coming out from what may be considered hell. Epicness to the fullest.

Now you may think that this is a gigantic Coca Cola bottle but in fact it is but it is made out of chalk. The artist is Julian Beever and Kurt Wenner. They go around with chalk to open areas and draw in a crowd while actually drawing imagery that looks exceptionally real. I think that this kind of photography and art is so brilliant. The way someone looks at this drawing can be depict in a few different angles but it will always look like the epic thing that it should be. Above are a few more examples of their work. Much of their work has been done in England, France, Germany, Australia and the United States.

The Red Wolf - First Scratch

This is one of my better scratch drawings. I took a photo of a wolf of the Interweb and first traced around the wolf with the painting tool. Then I just took the big black spots on the wolf and darkened those areas. After I tried to find the right color for the fur and painted those spots. I decided to make the background red at first but then the entire wolf was red and it looked neat so I kept it that way and turned the background blue. I am actually pretty proud of it.

Letters of the Alphabet

This is a "C" or a "U"depending on how you look at it.
This is in the parking lot of the Albertsons and Rite Aid. I like this picture because it is a light post but it is so dark. The only real light source is coming from the clouds and the sky. I like this "X" photo.

This is in the Student Union and taken of one of
the chairs.

I see a "Dubbua" in as the letter. I guess if you tilt your head it can be an "E" but the "W" is harder to find so it is a "W" in my book and my blog.

"M" for Matthew. One of my favorites.

Scratch

My Scratch Photo from photoshop.

Strange, Stills and Self

This is a picture of myself in my room. I was trying to experiment with an image in my glasses to make me look smaller than I would be in the frame. As you can see my laptop is at the corner of my bed and it is shown twice. One looks bigger then the other.

These next two photos are of the strange. I met these two at the Yuan Yuan near Taco Bell. I did not want to interrupt their dinner together but they looked happy and approachable to ask for their picture taken. The guy's name is Danny and the girl is Ariel. They are from California stopping through Ashland on their way to Eugene.

The object in the mirror is one of my roommates. We were heading to assist my other roommate, not present in the picture, out with a task for his girlfriend. I decided to take a picture of my friend in the back of the car because I did get a good angle plus he just looks so confused and that makes this photo so much better. If he was smiling or posing in anyway it would take away from the realize of the photo.

Personal Image

This was a picture I took during the Summer of 2009. I was at a Killers concert with a couple buddies of mine. I was taking a few pictures of the set and band. Some of them came out better than others but this one looked the best so I choose this one to show to everyone. The concert was amazing and we were closer than I had expected. I think any pictures taken at a concert or a music festival or even a place with flashing lights and in your face music would look cool because you never really know how they are going to turn out. For example this picture as well taken at the same concert...
As you can see it is blurry and some what unable to comprehend what is happening. The lights that look like hooks are sweet and trippy and everything seems to be burning. Even if this is not the best picture I have taken I still like it for the awesome effect of the moving lines and people.

Visual Research

This photo was taken by Adam Rogers. It is a photo of a riot in Haiti. These small riots that may are usually caused by the anger and frustration of not having any food could lead to bigger and more erupting riots and fights. The picture itself is beautiful but in a ugly way.
In the photo we see many of the haitians on the side running away from a recent tire fire and possible explosion. The fumes from the tires are going up into the air. The sky is dark and the flames are bright. This is definitely a moving picture that is scary and to look at.
